I can’t help but think of that scene from Jerry Maguire where Ron Tidwell is talking to Jerry on phone and he says,
“When I see the ball coming across the middle, I tell myself, get killed. Catch the ball. Booya, Touchdown! I make miracles happen.“
Recently, I’ve been doing some soul searching when it comes to my brand and my business. Over the past 10 years, with several different iterations of my business, I’ve come to realize the folks I really LOVE to work with. The entrepreneur. I love working with them. I love the GRIT, the focus, the drive, the belief. There is something so striking about working with them. I think of that quote…
“Entrepreneurs work 80 hours to avoid working 40.”
This is so true. Entrepreneurs strive to leave a footprint, better the lives of their loved ones, and render people better off because of what they do. I get inspired by them. Which is why I feel so lucky to be able to do what I do.
Its come to my attention that not everyone understands exactly what I do. While, yes it is difficult to put into words brand building and TRULY explain what that means. What I do is actually quite simple, I give entrepreneurs the toolset to succeed. We work together to develop programs, seminars, and strategies. We create language sets for artwork, mission statements, and brand guidelines. I synthesize HOW to bridge together all of their efforts into one cohesive message that is consistent. I explore the psychology of their prospects, their brand, their motivation. I get these things to come alive in their marketing efforts. I create OUTLIERS, in a sea of competition. So, you’re probably wondering what all this has to do with miracles?
What I’m Not
Well, I will tell you one thing I’m not…I’m not a miracle worker, while I can guide you on your road to miracles, I can’t do them for you. Just like I have, you will have to work for your success. As I’ve said for the the better part of the last 10 years….IT’S NOT build it and they will come. This isn’t field of dreams. We all have to make people aware that we exist. We have to share our story, we have to build a network, and we have to be relentless in our evangelizing.
I challenge you to tell 3 people a day about your business. That’s 21 people a week, 84 people a month, and 1,008 people a year. This will make miracles happen.
