Buckets of Content
When it comes to creating social media content it can surely be a challenge to figure out how to have a systematic way to streamline the content process.
I’ve tried nearly a 100 different ways to create content over the years but I have found the best way is to create content buckets. When thinking of creating content think of the different types of content the audience would respond well to and define that as one of the content buckets for micro-content.
My recommendation for clients is to have between 7 and 14 types of content buckets. Think long form content (content that tells a story), testimonials, why, quotes, call to actions, fill in the blank, fun, have fun with it.
The key is to define the buckets, once the buckets are defined it is easy to create 8 quotes (which if one post as day is the goal and one quote a week) there are 8 weeks of content there. Clients often push back on spreadsheets but this is the simplest and easiest way to map out a month of content or two at a time.
