Impact Vs. Dollars
Last week, I was chatting with a client who is in a transition from full booked, trading dollars for hours to working in a more streamlined fashion aka one too many. This transformation is a challenging one for many entrepreneurs, it was especially hard for me, and requires shifting and changing the way in you do business and your mindset around growth.
I’ve noticed, during this transition, many driven entrepreneurs realize that money isn’t the goal but the impact is. Most coaches will tell them to determine their monetary goals and work towards that but for driven entrepreneurs, like you and me, money isn’t the motivator. Yes, it is a nice added bonus that provides us with more freedom and choice but it isn’t what drives us.
How do we stay focused on our goals and growing our businesses when money isn’t the motivator? Simple, flip your thinking on your goals, create impact goals. What is the number of people I want to impact this month? For many, including myself, energetically this feel 1000’s times better.
