How to avoid content overwhelm
How to avoid content overwhelm when it comes to social media. When I was chatting with Lindsay Padilla and teach my content distribution process to her Academics Mean Business Group we were talking about how overwhelming it is to get started and keep up with social media. I truly believe that you have to think about content as a macro content vs micro-content perspective.
Macro content is the long form, longer lifespan, content-rich, value-driven content, think podcasts, blogs, videos and facebook lives. Microcontent is shorter form content, think social media posts, that have a short lifespan.
As the CEO, it is essential for you to create that macro content. Often times people get hung up in the microcontent and neglect the macro content but it is the macro content that is going to create that connection with the audience and give you the basis for everything you need to feed your online business ecosystem with microcontent. But how do I get started? Well, I give you permission to take a week off from social media to get these pieces in place. Seriously. Take a week off.
