Social Media is Changing
The landscape of social media, Facebook specifically is changing again. Facebook recently announced that users are seeking out video to watch but they don’t want to see it in their newsfeed. They want meaningful interactions between their friends and the brands that they follow.
So what does that mean for you and me? It’s time to get SUPER intentional about the video that we do create on Facebook because the Facebook Lives aren’t getting the reach that they used. We’ve got the data to prove it as well! People are seeking out and watching video for longer and longer amounts of time but it has to be content they are interested in watching. The platforms that work are changing and we are choosing to diversify.
Based on the recent reports from Facebook we are making some adjustments to our 2019 marketing efforts and adding additional platforms and getting more strategic about the videos that we do create. As always, we are practicing what we preach and will give you a report back about what is working and what is not working when it comes to our marketing efforts.
