Mompreneuring in 2019
Let’s face it – being a Mompreneur has never been easy and, in 2019, it’s becoming more and more of a challenge. Having to juggle your business and family forces you to prioritize and to decide what’s important, what has to get done now, and what doesn’t. I get up at 5 in the morning every day to do my power hour, where I write in my Best-self journal, do some stretching, or even record some of my podcast episodes. It’s my time to be alone and to be centered on starting the day off right. Yet, for the past two days, my five-year-old and two-year-old decided that they wanted to get up at 5 a.m. too and strip me of my precious alone time.
This morning was a particularly hectic one, with the children waking up so early, followed by a bunch of my team getting sick with a stomach bug. It threw the whole day out of whack and I had to figure out how I was going to balance all the chaos by myself. I realized that my time in the morning is super important and beneficial to me.
Overall, there is nothing more challenging about being a mom and entrepreneur. On the same note, there’s also nothing more fulfilling than that as well, and I wouldn’t want to be doing anything else. Being a mom and entrepreneur suits me just fine and I’m happy with the place I am in.
