Complete Ownership
It’s time to talk about taking complete ownership. This has been a theme recently that has come up a couple of times within my life and it’s something that I thought was important to talk about. As human beings, we don’t always practice complete ownership over our actions, good or bad. It’s about taking 100% responsibilities for the actions that we make and the consequences that they have on our lives. I don’t just mean taking responsibility for the success that we have, but for the failure as well.
I’ve recently really embraced owning up to everything that I do, the circumstances that I am in, and where I am in life, business, and success. I used to be someone who would not take complete ownership because it was easier to blame time or circumstance or someone else for my shortcomings. I think so many of us have these excuses about why we can’t hit certain goals or why we aren’t at the level that we want to be at. As I’ve grown as a person, I’ve learned more and more how to take responsibility for everything that is happening in my life currently.
Along with this, I’ve learned how to identify the things that I didn’t really like about myself that were holding me back from achieving what I want in business and in life. One example was my very unhealthy relationship with money, based on things that had happened in my past. Once I acknowledged that I had these hang-ups, I was able to move past them. I sold myself short for a long time and I am grateful that I am able to recognize this now and see how much progressive that I’ve made to move past that. The biggest thing that I had to realize was that I have 100% control over what I do, how I act, and how my life turns out.
