Play the Long Game

If you’re going into the online space with your business thinking that you’re going to make a million dollars quickly, you’re WRONG. You may as well go to the casino and attempt to become a millionaire there. If someone is able to make a million dollars in their first 6 months or so, it’s usually out of sheer luck.

I share this with you guys because it drives me bananas to see people who have a high expectation around their growth in the online world. So many times people think that they can just turn on ads and have people magically buy from them without spending time or money. The problem with that thinking (even though many online marketers are encouraging you to think this way) is that it’s not realistic. That person may have managed that for themselves because they were able to get each element right, but there are so many factors that come into play when building an online marketing ecosystem. All these parts have to work together and be nurtured consistently to grow to the million dollar mark. It can be hard work in the beginning, but once you have the systems in place to add layers onto it will get much easier.

I want you to stay focused on the long game. Most of us want instant success, but realistically very few people are able to achieve that. For most people, a 2% conversion rate in business is great! Out of every 100 people that visit your business, 2 will take action to work with you. That’s an excellent rate! It can be easy to feel bad or fall victim to believing that you are not successful just because you aren’t getting the instant success that is being advertised. It’s important to remember that for almost every business, growth is a steady process!
