Step into the CEO Role. Want to grow your business? Do more of this _______ and less of _______.
Today I want to to talk to you about stepping into the CEO role in your business. I work with a lot of folks who started making money in their business and they run out of time in the day. They start trading dollars for hours and they aren’t able to scale their business so that they can keep growing. I want to talk to you guys about this because it’s an important conversation to have. If you want to continue to grow your business, you have to step into that role as CEO and challenge yourself to a higher and higher role. To this day, I still don’t see myself as a CEO and that’s okay! I want you to understand that if you want to grow your business, you have to have the mindset of what that next step is so that you can remove yourself from the day to day activities. I’m going to give you some examples. Four to five years ago I was stuck in the day to day operations and was the point person for all my clients. In doing so, I was playing monkey in the middle and was constantly juggling clients and trying to grow my business. I was always in the state of working on the business and it was complete chaos.
As I started to make an effort to grow the business, I started making systems for everything that I did. I enabled the people that I had brought onto my team and began to lean on them for support. If you want to grow your business, you have to start making systems and processes that can be followed to get a predictable outcome, whether that’s internal or external. If you want to grow your business, you also have to learn to delegate the tasks in your business that you don’t have time to do yourself. If you want to be a successful entrepreneur, it’s time to step into the CEO role!
