Creating Your Roadmap for Entrepreneurial Success
When it comes to creating a road map for entrepreneurial success there are so many “gurus” out there in the online world preaching how to go from Zero to Six figures in Six weeks, and Zero to Seven Figures in Eighteen months. I want you to know that this is total bullshit. If the person actually did that, they did it once and by chance. There wasn’t a strategy or a plan in place to do that it just kind of happy by luck and it is NOT typical.
When I work with clients, I believe that there are three foundational pieces that need to be in place when it comes to creating a roadmap for success.
1. Determining a strategy that you can commit too and not copying someone else’s plan. Get inspiration from how others have done things and take the pieces that feel good to you and make them your own. Then fully commit to and believe in the path.
2. Relentless show-up day in and day out. Not for thirty days, or sixty days but for an entire year. Show up when you don’t feel like it. Show up when things are hard. Show up when it is challenging. Show up relentlessly for one year and stick to the plan.
3. Commit to one and only one thing. As entrepreneurs, we have shiny object syndrome. We often start one thing and then come up with another idea but I challenge you (and myself) to stick to one thing for one entire year. Tweak it. Perfect it. Hone it. Systematize it. Become the very best at it. THEN add in other layers to your business.
