The Plague In the Coaching Industry

There is a plague going on in the coaching industry. You’ve probably seen it or experienced it. The how to get to 6 figures in six weeks people. Or the have your first 5 figure month in 30 days? Or the fancy (rented) cars and hotel rooms selling you on a luxurious lifestyle? Or the person who is on the 4th MLM business and decided they are now a business or mindset coach? Seriously the worst, isn’t it? I can’t even begin to tell you how much this drives me insane.

I’ve been in business for 15 years and up until a few years ago didn’t think I had enough experience to be a coach. Obviously, that was a mindset issue but think about it. Do you want someone who’s never made 6 figures in their business to be telling you how to run your business? Do you want someone who is doing the fake it until you make it game telling you how to position yourself in the online world? But yet this is happening every single day. I see it all the time with my own two eyes. Its nuts.

I truly believe that as a coach, my goal is to help you implement and succeed, to be honest, and transparent with you, to help you achieve your goals. So why then are we buying into these games that people are playing in the online world. This has to stop. These “coaches” need to start realizing the impact that they have in real life. I can confidently say this because I have experienced this first hand. I have made mistakes when it came to hiring coaches.

Ultimately it came down to the fact that they didn’t practice what they preached. They were and probably still are faking it until they make. So before you hire that next coach or say yes to that next program, do your research, vet the person, find someone who has a business a few steps ahead of yours and make sure they are the real deal. Because the impact of a bad coaching relationship can take weeks, months or even years to undo.
