Packaging Your Services
Today’s episode is going to be all about how you can package your services. All too often when I first start out with a client, they come to me and tell me that they have all of these different clients on different packages with different expectations. This is a big mistake!
I was the same way when I first started out in business, but the larger your company grows the more challenges that this is going to create. I speak from personal experience when I say that I spent ridiculous amounts of time trying to write a custom proposal for each and every client. On top of that, it made it extremely tricky to keep everything in order because there was no system that was universal. As I began to take on team members, I couldn’t delegate these tasks because I had no process or system for doing them. These all became big issues that forced me to take a look at how I was doing things.
Packaging your services with save you a lot of time and make your life as a business owner easier. One of the main reasons for packaging your services is so that you can create a reputable model for potential clients and a reputable system for yourself and your team. Once you have set systems in place and you start to expand your team, it will be clear across the board what is expected from you for each client.
If you are still in the place in your business where you are creating custom contracts for each client you take on, I recommend that you stop what you’re doing and build packages for your business. Choose a few different options that are favorable to your ideal clients, such as one that offers the bare minimum, one that is a platinum status package, and one that falls somewhere in between. By creating these for your business, you will be setting yourself up for success in the future.
