Calendaring, Consistency, & Routine
Who else gets back into school mode in September, even though you’re not going to school? I’m forever learning because I’m constantly reading, listening to podcasts, and watching documentaries. In the summer, I tend to get out of a normal routine because the kids are home and I’ve decided to work less and be more intentional with my time.
In full transparency, August didn’t go as planned for us. It was super chaotic, and I was out in July for a week for my vacation. The vacation didn’t go as planned and was not as fun as we anticipated. July had been our best month in business to date, but August kicked off with all my family members being sick right after we got back. Ultimately, I’m so happy that September is back because it’s back to routine. I’m desperate to get back to schedule, and I’ve decided it’s time to start adding some new things.
My business is in the middle of a growth spurt, and I came to the decision that I had to re-imagine my days. I want to make sure that I’m leveraging my time in the best way possible to help the business keep growing. I wanted to throw out the schedule that I had in the past and figure out what will work for the future. Each day I get up to do my daily planning, stretch, and meditate before I start my day. I’m a big advocate for routines and I’m going to add a routine for the end of my day as well so that I can be as intentional as possible. I want to start adding things like journaling and making sure to work out every day. The more I learn about some of the most successful entrepreneurs, the more I can figure out the keys to continuing to grow your business. If you want to learn more about how you can calendar your time intentionally, tune in!
